Netting

Rescued this little guy out of some netting at Margate Library. I'm sure the man who helped me didn't expect to be spending his morning with me, in a men's toilet cubicle, holding netting up while I contort myself to try and get the netting cut without dropping the bird, with only a 4 inch gap from a top opening window. Not easy but rewarding that I managed it, I have the bruises and very dirty uniform to prove it.

So if you saw a pair of arms with a knife or scissors flailing around out of a window about 15ft up in Margate, I could be hedging my bets, but I guess it may have been me.

The pigeon is OK by the way, some swelling to one leg so on some meds to help it go down and make him more comfortable. Hoping to release him back to his mate in a day or two as she was quite frantic as I was retrieving him.

Lesson of the day here, please maintain your bird netting for the sake of my arms, uniform, sanity and most of all for these critters who have to succumb to the laziness of the human race.
