Spring has sprung
Day full of youngsters, a pony collapsed - which was actually sunbathing - but number of other issues. The UK is currently in a horse crisis with charities filled to capacity and ponies being sold two for a fiver at market they are being left to suffer, abandoned or taken on my well meaning, but clueless people. The gorgeous lad in my extra photos looks quite sorry for himself but hopfully eduaction and persistence will pay off.
The main picture is of a very poorly seal, had a bit of a crowd for the rescue (as always with seals) but all went well and he is now safely at a rehab centre.
Ended the day on a sad note with a very sick fox cub. Foxes are beautiful and an iconic image of British wildlife. We take over their habitiat and then curse them for being 'pests'. Luckily there are still another three cubs and the vixen is doing a good job bringing them up, just hope there was nothing more sinister at play with this very sick cub.
Sun has been shining all day and garden was resembling a jungle so pleased I was not too late home tonight to get the lawn done.
Sister over for movie night, pizza and booze.
