War of the Roses
A trip to the Dark Side with Enzo and Richard from work to see Blackburn Rovers play Huddersfield Town in the Football Championship.
Being Yorkshire born and bred it was a day of mixed emotions, but my nephew plays for the Red Rose team and I was shouting for Blackburn all the way.
Sadly Rovers (motto Arte et Labore), were more laboured than skilled this afternoon and they went down at home 0-2.
The match started off in brilliant sunshine and ended in freezing temperatures and a flurry of snow. The journey back over the Pennines was difficult - a hailstone storm and sub-zero temperatures brought traffic to a standstill on the M62 (see extra).
A bad result for Rovers but a nice day out and I am very grateful to my nephew Adam for his hospitality.
