Shy butterfly - and friends

On the phone to the garage first thing and great relief when the mechanics turned up and told us that the problem was nothing more serious than a dead battery. They duly gave it enough charge to get it started, push-started the old car, and bore them both off.  Phone calls back and forth throughout the day took care of buying a new battery and sorting the old car’s problems, and we got them both back in time to head down to Rio at more or less the usual time. Deep relief.

All this left time for more butterfly chasing. The tiny one in the middle had me lying on the ground, in grave danger of snake, or at least ant bites, as it only posed underneath leaves and flowers. Very uncooperative.
