Perfection

Such a lovely day. We had a lunch date with old friends, so nephew & Co repaired to the club and the pool and we set off a bit later to a place that's just across the hill from us. However, the direct route is almost impassable, so we had to go the long way round - which also involved and awful lot of dirt road. Luckily, HH was sure of the way, because I didn't recognize anything at all. It was only later that we realized that many familiar landmarks had probably been wiped out in the floods, four years ago. Even the stud farm we always passed on the way had changed its name, from Haras (stud farm) to Fazenda da Brasa. Sadly, the horses were probably among the victims of the disaster.

Lunch and the afternoon were perfect in every way - our hosts, the company in general, the setting and the meal. We were reluctant to drag ourselves away before the sun went down over the mountains.
