Repairs
Over the past couple of months I've been working on the heritage gallery at the Orkney Fossil & Heritage Centre. Not a total revamp, more of a refresh. Mainly some new interpretation and improving how the exhibits are displayed in line with the rest of the museum.
One of the things that we are now able to display is this model of Milan cathedral made by one of the WW2 Italian POWs and given to a local family. It's made of what appears to be scrap wood and matchsticks and beautifully done. However after 70 years it needs a little tlc so I took it home for the deft fingers of my on house model maker to glue on several spires and tiny saints that have fallen off. Be good to see it on display.
