Siren

Working our socks off to get the heritage galleries ready at Orkney Fossil & Heritage Centre. The centre opens for the season on Saturday so pressure is on.

This is a new exhibit, it is the WW2 air raid siren for the island. It was kept in the Burray post office and passed through various hands before being donated to the museum recently.

It still works. Very loudly. I know, we tried it.
