Rural retreat!

The owner of this property calls it his "rural retreat". When he first "retreated" the trees were much smaller and he had a great view over the valley. His son, however, tells me that he can still see a lot. I wouldn't know, never having been invited to retreat!
We are waiting for the rain that is advancing extremely slowly over the state and I think has reached Wichita! it still has a ways to go! I hope it hasn't completely dissipated by the time it gets here.l

Later in the day, the bluebirds were back at the nesting box and I managed to capture a shot of the male. He is here in the extras. such lovely, intense blue.
