Street Life

After yet another dreadful morning of school it was a relief to get out of the house and hang out with neighbours on the street. I love sitting with the ladies; chatting, eating sunflower seeds and watching the world go by, while the children all go in different directions playing with their various friends. R and I taught her friend how to do French skipping (Chinese jump rope)- it's funny how you start with 2 children and suddenly draw a crowd. We then got taught/reminded how to do cat's cradle. It's fun resurrecting these activities from my childhood.
