Sechseläuten
Sechseläuten or Sachsilüüte is a traditional festival in Zurich to celebrate Spring. The climax of the festival - the burning of the Böögg , a giant snowman , comes tomorrow, but today was the children's parade. Groups representing various countries and nationalities , as well as organisations paraded in a variety of costumes to marching bands. It was a very colourful spectacle, the only dampener literally being the rain.
Here are a couple of children representing The Netherlands. Places as far afield as Kosovo and China were represented and even saw llamas among the Peru group.
