Heidelberg
The main blip picture is off Heidelberg Castle of which we had a tour. Heidelberg is one of Germany's oldest cities, a baroque old town overlooked by the partly ruined picturesque castle, dating from 1225.
The castle was abandoned over 300 years ago (damaged by a lightning strike) and is home to the world's largest wine barrel, a 250 year old vat shaped from 130 oak trees that once held 50,000 gallons of wine!
The extra is a street photograph I liked, taken from a cafe in Heidelberg, as we enjoyed a coffee.
Don't forget that it is Wide Angle Wednesday challenge this Wednesday - any theme - photo taken on the day and tagged 'widwed24'.
