Mon St Michel
Set off and cycled to Mont St Michel in the morning. Put up the tent there and set off to walk the 2km out to Mont St Michel. It is a much photographed place and this is my attempt.
It is a fascinating place entering by the drawbridge and saw the narrow streets, old buildings, interesting doors and shop signs that look authentic of that time. There were hundreds of people visiting and it got busier as the day went on. I think would have been uncomfortably crowded a week later when the English schools were closed. We wandered around enjoying all the nooks and crannies.
Then the rain started and it was torrential. People were sheltering and went to go for the buses. We were almost the only ones who did the 2km back. Rained most of the rest of the day and evening.
