Moine Mhor - National Nature Reserve
Today we had a lovely wander around "Moine Mhor" which is Gaelic for " Great Moss"This place is apparently one of Europe's largest and most important peat bogs> The moss has survived here in Kilmartin Glen , Argyll, for over 5000 years
It is the home for plants and animals specially adapted for waterlogged conditions.
I did blip varous plants and some small birds but it just had to be this tiny lizard ( approximately 10 cm long ) for tonight's blip. There were a few of them around and I was able to get right down beside them to get this shot.
I had been hoping for some dragonflies today in the lovely summer sun but didn't see any.
