Harry Pottering (again!)
Last day of our trip today. Got up very early and had to hurriedly get takeaway breakfasts from McDonald's to catch the train in time. We were lucky to have a sunny morning and afternoon today as most of our visit at Oxford were outdoors.
We first Christ Church College first. This is probably my third time to visit the college. The vaulted ceiling outside the great hall is still a wonder to behold. After about an hour inside the college, we had lunch and went straight to Bodleian Library. Unfortunately, the Divinity School was closed and since photography was not allowed inside the Duke Humphrey's library, Vlady decided not to take the tour. We then went to the Ashmolean Museum which was free to enter. We only visited two levels (there must have been 4 levels in there) before deciding to get coffee at a nearby pattiserie. I ordered my favourite scone but i was disappointed to have been served fruit scones rather than my preferred butter scones. Nevertheless, I ate them (minus the raisins).
It was pouring as soon as we left the pattiserie. We collected our luggages at the backpacker's hostel and headed straight to the train station. Vlady took the train which headed west while i took the train headed north. Home sweet home by 8pm.
