Stonehenge (2nd time around)
Four years ago was the first time i visited this place. There are a few changes in how they receive tourists now. First thing is that the visitor centre is now situated 7 mins by coach west of Stonehenge. During my first visit, the visitor centre was right across the road. And I remember there was a road between the stonehenge and the visitor centre then. We had to go on a subway to get to the other side of the road. Now, the road was gone, diverted on the other side of Stonehenge and the visitor centre was completely gone. The new visitor centre had a quite impressive architecture (See Extra Photos). It looks very simple yet elegant. They also had reconstructed Neolithic huts outside the centre (See Extra Photos - Photo credit : Vlady Kobayashi).
This time i got to also visit Old Sarum. When I visited this place 4 years ago, it did not include the Old Sarum bit. Old Sarum was the original city centre before it was transfered to the current location of Salisbury. From atop Old Sarum, you get a good view of the Wiltshire plains.
It was an exhausting day today. We headed to get dinner at a chinese restaurant back at the city centre and got back at the B&B early at 9pm.
