A Chance Encounter

I had a visit to Kinver today, for a multi-agency safeguarding meeting.  I decided to go the scenic route (although most routes from my office to Kinver are scenic).  Just as I turned a corner I spied two very large ears at the side of the road.  I found somewhere to pull up and grabbed the longest lens I had.

This was the least like a 'bum' shot I could get.  Hares are amazingly swift animals and this one wasn't hanging around to pose.  Still it is a relatively rare occurrence for me to see one and I was quite pleased he was even in focus.  Certainly not what I expected to be posting this evening!
