Blue Mountains Icons 8
Some days are just plain made in Heaven and this was one. It was a winter's occasion that simply glowed and was almost actually warm. The universe seemed to be holding its breath as not a tree, not a leaf, not a blade of grass, was in motion. Just before I shot this picture, I closed my eyes and simply listened. Nary a sound.
Blue Mountains Icon 8 is Sublime Point which is that part of the north Jamison Valley escarpment which sticks out most conspicuously into the great beyond. The closest village is Leura.
Directly below is a bridge which spans a chasm to link a kind of "one sister" rock formation with the rest of the plateau. The path then leads on up and round to a lookout which is pretty much (as far as I am concerned) "Vertigo Central". It is like being stuck up in the air, surrounded on three sides by ... um ... air.
Here we are crossing that bridge.
Here we are moving up to Sublime Point.
Here we are just about hanging over the edge.
