Between the showers!

Last day at school today and I expect the year 6 children will come out this afternoon upset. Great for me 6 weeks holiday!!
Weather grey and gloomy and had a lot of rain in the night. We went for a walk this morning where we were volunteering yesterday, so far not been vandalised. It was dry when we set off and then we had shower and then dry again! This shot is of the beach near the officers mess in the garrison. The original mess was a lovely building which I was lucky enough to go in, huge table and great views of the Thames. The housing has been done well, some new buildings and some of the original ones renovated.
The tide was out but not that many birds around near the shore. Kent can just be seen in background.
