It's funny how things can just jump out of somewhere and trigger memories that you had forgotten about but the memory brings a smile.

Today I had a little job to do. A little ironing was required but not in my house with my new iron! having located the iron and the ironing board, neither of which will have seen the light of day for a while, cos we don't iron unless we need to, I thought i'd better run it over a tea towel to begin with to burn off any dust that may have accumulated on the bottom or in the steam holes.

I found a white tea towel prefect for the job, I pulled it out of the drawer, flapped it about to unfold and placed it on the ironing board. I didn't take much notice of which one it was until I looked down to test the iron and this cheeky little donkey from Costa Del Sol was looking at me. I looked back with a smile and thought about our holidays on the costa del sol and this tea towel would be a gift to my mam or granny. So more fond thoughts and memories of them as I continued with the ironing.

Its strange, how out of whole drawer of tea towels this one was the one I chose and it wasn't on the top of the pile it was further down.
