One of the great things about going for an early morning walk is the chance to encounter one of the local deer who overnight on the old cricket ground.
This one was walking towards us so we stood absolutely still and let it work out how to get into the field. It came quite close, stood and looked at us then searched the hedge for a gap and leapt over the gate.
