Late night lights

A quick blip on my walk home from the hospital... A thoroughly frightening day as Mom took a turn for the worse, she was rushed for a CT scan but fortunately it showed no deterioration in the brain, but a massive migraine. It was scary though, I thought she was having a stroke. She was better this evening, & is waiting to be moved to a hospital with a specialist unit... Such a rollecoaster of emotions. Meningitis is a brutal illness.

Today I'm grateful for;
1) How quickly the medical staff responded to Mom's strange turn.
2) Going to amandoAlentejo's after the hospital & being presented with a caipirinha & a bowl of strawberries...as well as catching up with old friends who are visiting aA.
3) Still having my Mom.
