Mummy Blackbird

Today I watched how the parents feed the chick in the honeysuckle nest. They are very cautious. As I sat on the greenhouse step waiting and watching with my camera the female would not fly to the nest. After about ten minutes I had to accept that I needed to move so she could feed her chick. The pictures I had were all I could justify taking.

Here she seemed to be asking me to move so she could get to her nest with her beakful of food.
