Lala's Journal

Farewells

A day of saying goodbye to colleagues. One is retiring to Portugal, one going on maternity leave and two who have just decided to take time for themselves. A lovely lunch was revised and on my way down to the Maiden's Tower I saw this goose enjoying the sunshine.

It was the Queen's 90th birthday and after the builders had gone ( you guessed right, the drive is still not finished)!we took Dog to the beach to see if we could see any of the beacons. It was extremely cold foggy and but as we threw the ball for Dog we did see one of the beacons lit, probably in Hythe, and also one in Dymchurch or St Mary's Bay. We Decided not to wait another half hour for the fireworks in Hythe but left happy that I had seen at least two beacons.
Happy birthday to our Queen.
