Flower Friday - Goodbye Summer?

We are very close now to the end of what has been a golden summer. For most of the time the weather has been superb - sunny and warm. It has been the sort of summer I remember from childhood. However, daylight saving has ended, temperatures are dropping at night and the early mornings are getting close to a frost.

Mid autumn now and the gardens are looking tired. In the local public gardens, many annuals have been pulled out. Flower Friday Blips are going to be harder to come by.
