And ... we're off

Although it's something I look forward to as one of the highlights of the year, it's also something of a relief to get the first orchid of the season out of the way. Having embarrassed myself with this truly awful photograph, I am now satisfied that Things Can Only Get Better.

I have two target species in mind for this year - watch this space.
