MOTHER AND SON

Weemo spotted this new born foal this morning while out walking the dogs and got some cracking pictures of him along with mum and dad. Unfortunately, mum wasn’t so keen on feeding him so we both went back to see how he was getting on. He was still being shunned to some extent but there was no sign of the owner. We’re going back down later to see how he is progressing. I’ve put a shot of the foal on his own in the extras and another shot of two adult horses galloping around the same field!

Progress Report on the foal:
When I drove past just after 5pm the foal was on its own and the adult horses were all eating hay, I don't think it's had much to drink all day. However, a couple who have had horses came along around 7pm. The chap went into the field with Lindsay and held the mare while Lindsay encouraged the foal to suckle. They were also going to inform the RSPCA of the situation. We'll check it out again tomorrow morning!
