A bit of bully

A nice morning again, but definitely cooler!

We didnt do badly at the quiz last night, but not top 3..... so still no money in this years kitty :-/ We didn't sleep great, but not too bad either.

We walked down into town to the Opticians, as we needed to choose some frames for hubs new lenses. Youngest is going tomorrow to choose some new smaller frames too, they will be sick of the sight of our family ;-) I also bought a new plastic container with a lid, for the birdseed, as it needs to come out of the greenhouse now. Hub wants the extra space as he is ready to plant up his grow bags in there. The new container can go in to the garage, as it is mouse proof, not like the sack last year ;-)

We had lunch sat in the garden, I read some more of my Nikon book that hub bought me for Christmas.......probably threequarters of the way through it now. It's surprising how it is sinking in and easier to understand now, compared to when I first got it :-)

After lunch we decided to go for another walk along the canal and down into Pennington Flash. It became cloudier as we walked, but still pleasant enough. We spent a little while sat in one of the hides...lots of activity. Loads of bullfinches....I liked this little fellow best, with his afternoon snack all around his beak ;-)

I saw my first Blue Jay today too, it swooped in quite fast, but didn't stay still long enough for me to get a focused shot, such a shame, as it was quite close.....next time!

By the time we got back home the outside temperature had dropped quite a bit, the wind was much cooller and we were pretty chilly, compared to this morning :-/ so a cuppa and a sit down indoors was very welcome.

Plaice, french fries, peas and tomatoes for dinner this evening followed by a yoghurt..... we know how to live it up ;-)

I feel for those of you have worked all week, whilst the weather has been so lovely, and now that the weekend is here, it's cooler and cloudier.........just typical! Don't let it spoil your weekend, whatever you're doing :-)
