Pedal on Parliament

Went into Town this morning to see all the cyclists coming down the Royal Mile on their 'Pedal on Parliament' demo. For the reason for the ride I can do no better than quote their website -

What we want -

Proper funding for cycling (5% of the transport budget & 10% for active travel overall).
Design cycling into Scotland’s roads.
Slower speeds where people live, work and play
Integrate cycling into local transport strategies
Improved road traffic law and enforcement
Reduce the risk of HGVs to cyclists and pedestrians
A strategic and joined-up programme of road user training
Improved statistics supporting decision-making and policy

My extras today include a general view of the cyclists and a rather naughty picture to stir up those of my fellow-Blippers with a leaning towards Scottish independence!
