Lunch with the girls
Bestest girlies Laura, Sian with Laura's daughter Maya over at mine for lunch of salmon and hollandaise sauce, crushed Jersey Royals and samphire. Followed by (as seen here) pineapple wantons with ice cream and mint leaves. The latter came from an old cook book written by Anton Edelmann who used to be head chef at The Savoy River Room back in the days when chef's had to be either German, Austrian or Swiss (he has born in Germany). The foreword of the book was written by Len Deighton.
Both courses went down well and I made enough wantons to serve to my cousin and his husband when they visit in a few weeks.
It was such a nice afternoon that even Stuart put in an appearance.
