Forsythia

In sweet April, before the month's old,
Forsythia's covered in gold:
Yellow flowers shine bright
In the early spring light.
Prune the bush when they wither, we're told.

We've enjoyed another lovely blue skied day, but bitterly cold for St George's Day, Shakespeare's birthday and his 400th anniversary. I feel sure it should be warmer than this by now. But the cold wind dried the washing, so I shouldn't complain.
