Evening, Wooler Common

Hmmm, one of THOSE days, and nothing has gone to plan!

Managed some domestic stuff and long-overdue paperwork, but hopes of working in the courtyard this afternoon were rained - and hailed - off. And, somehow, completely lost enthusiasm for didn't get round to a couple of DIY tasks that had been on today's agenda.

MrM, who had promised to make a curry for our evening meal, was glued to distracted by an important football match on TV - thank goodness for the emergency ready-meal in the freezer! 

Spotted two barn owls during our walk on the Common this evening as it was getting dark. They're probably not nesting in at least one of the two owl boxes this year, though, as there seem to be jackdaws in residence!
