The estuary, Alnmouth

The weekend starts here, thank goodness - it's seemed a long week!

An unexpected pleasure in the office today, though. In the middle of the morning we each had a glass of non-alcoholic red wine that K had brought in for us to try - it was surprisingly good, and it seemed rather decadent, sipping 'wine' as we worked!

Down to Alnwick late afternoon to tackle the supermarket shopping, but first a walk on the beach at Alnmouth. Amazing how much blue sky, sunshine and sea air can raise the spirit!

Fish and chips in Alnwick before driving back to Wooler. MrM had to swerve several times en route to avoid suicidal pheasants as they crossed the road!
