Going ?
I love going. It is a heap more fun than coming ‘Cos with coming you were going first and got that bit finished and the surprise ended so there was nothing left except to come. Coming can be rewarding. It depends on how loud the Boss gets when calling “Tussock Come” and sometimes how long he has been yelling it. There is a very fine point between concern and annoyance. This is all covered in Wheaten 102 which discusses this in the “Pushing your luck” chapter and is now available in a DBook altho the illustrations are only black and white.
Well I suppose they would be…
Right.
I think it is sad that Autumn doesn’t last a bit longer. We are getting record numbers of tourists from Asia at present and time constraints are leading to some interesting social behaviours as a couple of bus loads of visitors are discharged for “Tree” photography and the folk complete with tripods line themselves up in an orderly fashion only to find that some more adventurous members have waded into the lake for that “Special” composition (mostly to their disadvantage, according to The Boss) and are then assaulted with loud and angry Asian voices from all the other non adventurous folk with tripods and badly conflicted views.
This is new….and makes an exciting change of subject for the locals who have already photographed “The Tree” thousands of times and welcome this interesting alternative.
