Cowslips

After all the weeding yesterday, braved the cold wind and cut the grass.
I bought these cowslips last year and I am pleased they have survived!  I remember when the fields and hedgerows were full of them and you didn't need to have them in your garden.
Have finished all the sewing jobs I had and very happy with a long velvet evening coat I was sorting out for a friend.  The fastening was 4 lots of braid 'frogging' and the loops were not big enough to go over the buttons easily.  Problem solved by replacing the loops with very narrow elastic, and it seems to have worked.  The difficult bit was tidying up the cut braid.
