Yet Another Praying Mantis Report

This morning I found three fat females on the Viburnum. One was eating. Typically, it was the belly-up drone fly that caught my attention and I saw the mantis only after I’d puzzled over the drone for several seconds. Later in the day one of the ladies got lucky, as you can see in the extra shot.

Today is ANZAC Day, the day that Australians and New Zealanders commemorate the service men and women of all the wars our countries have been involved in. Many thousands of lives were sacrificed. Lest we forget.
