Breton Far
Busy day at work, followed by a well earned bevy with friends in Hackets Bar, then onto supper and music! The evening was a sunny one, so we ate around an outside fire, Linda and Seb lived for many years in Brittany and this cake is a traditional Breton Far, a cake which is cooked in a pot over an open fire, the lid was covered in embers so as to have some heat top and bottom. The cake was quite delicious and had the taste and texture of a crepe! Munched on cake to the sound of some lovely French dance music, played by Seb on the accordion, all under a magnificent starry sky, a wonderful end to the week!
