An Artist's Life

Safe in Green River

The foundry boys wrapped and padded and wrapped Barbara some more and loaded her into Tatonka, the Ta-Titan. Strapped down and causing stares as we sailed by, we sailed southeast to the pass toward Price, Utah. BOOM!!! We drove into a surprise spring blizzard that was wet and sticky snow....almost a whiteout. The snow and slush was quite deep, but I caught up with a gravel hauler whole load cleared the slush somewhat. Many vehicles stopped, but Barbara said, "Throw it into 4-wheel drive.....I have a date with a couple of generals."
After 60-some miles of blinding snow, down we went into a driving rain. Soon the sun came peering through and we were down to the high desert and semi-dry roads.
Here we are...safe in Green River. Thank you, St. B!
