Chillenden mill

Today l went for a potter through the east Kent countryside. I meandered along through field of rape as high as my eye, in and out of beautiful old villages and when l saw this windmill in the distance set off for it. Not open today but l may go back at the weekend and have a look inside.
There are, architecturally, two types of windmill - post - of which this one is a example and smock - of which yesterday's photo is an example - the base looking like a smock or skirt over the workings.
