Carving of Pan on corner of Kings Arms pub Sandwic

I had friends come down from London for the day and after a wander around Deal went over to the old mediaeval town of Sandwich for lunch and to show around some of the beautiful old Flemish buildings there. I took this photo of Pan carved on the corner of the Kings Arms pub with the numerals 1592 although the pub itself was built approx 1580 and originally called The Queens Arms after Queen Elizabeth 1 who visited Sandwich around that time.

The extra photo is of one of the 17th century Flemish weavers Cottages just off the high street.
