More Shakespeare
This has certainly been a cultural week so far what with Shakespeare400, Stratford Literary Festival and historic Warwick.
This morning we went to Warwick Hospital for my six monthly heart MOT. After a consultancy and pacemaker check I was given an OK.
This afternoon we met Maureen and Ian in Stratford for coffee at Nero then onto the Artshouse to see Michael Rosen - What's so Special about Shakespeare, a very entertaining interactive session exploring Shakespeare, his times and his work and cumulating in bringing Brooklyn rap star Devon Glover onto stage to give his version of one of the sonnets; at the start of the festival he set himself the task of reciting every sonnet in rap form, he achieved this task.
After tea with Tom at Pizza Express we went back to the Artshouse to hear John McCarthy in conversation talking about his five year incarcanation in Lebanon as a hostage.
For something completely different, it started snowing after lunchtime, I've included an extra of a close up of our garden bench, with web, during the shower.
