Bright but chilly

I really don't understand the weather so far this year.  Daffodils were blooming in January,  a week or two ago we had lovely warm weather, then yesterday lunchtime we had snow and hail and today, although still rather cool, we had plenty of sunshine.  It was certainly quite a pleasant afternoon as I was coming home today,  if still a little chilly.  A widespread frost is forecast tonight.
