Iftar Cannon

At sunset this cannon gets fired to mark the end of the fast! People generally break the fast eating dates and labnah (type of yoghurt)
So I decided to go and capture this moment. Even knowing the cannon is going to be fired, watching them prepare to fire it and being ready to take a photograph the moment it is fired, I was still suprised when the shot went off. So much so that my photograph is half a cannon, 2 half men, the sky and smoke.
This photo is a few seconds after when I recomposed myself and took a follow up photo. My heart is still pounding.
I will have to go back and try again!! There are 28 chances left to get a good photo!
