Glamping
We left home late morning to travel to Stonehenge campsite, stopping off on the way in Rode village to visit my aunt and uncle. We are staying in a glamping pod (see extra); the reason is that it's the annual family gathering. The last few years it has been in The Brecon Beacons but it was decided to have a change of date and place. Most of my relations live in the South of England, so a little closer for them.
After arriving and settling in, we went for a walk along local footpaths to get a feel for the area. The blip picture was taken just as we were arriving back on the footpath at the back of our site. A lovely full rainbow appeared and I managed to capture it all on my Go-Pro as it's ultra wide, as is the one of the inside of our pod. It's very comfortable, warm, and a step up from the tents the family will be in!
Thanks to El Cid for pointing out that my rainbow shows a secondary band of reversed colours, with the dark band between them called Alexander's band
Wide Angle Wednesday Challenge results:
My choices (remember it's just my layman's opinion!) in order of preference for those tagged widwed25 (about 30 entries again) are:-
1. Hanulli - her extra of a country landscape is beautiful as is her blip
2. Mildly Offensive - lovely use of the wideangle in the vertical perspective
3. Bimbo - a pleasant snow scene showing our recent weather!
4. Chantler - a colouful one of a dandelion against the sky
5. CowgirlCarol - a mono of a golf club and sky
Mention in dispatches;
Welshmaid50 - a St Ives vista
isbi - car crash damage
