Surveying the surroundings

I went on a walk around the harbour and up the river at lunchtime, it was cold but lovely. This female Mallard was sitting on a wall about 8 foot above the river, just enjoying the sun, and out of the way of the other ducks, although they were looking for ways to join her.  It was almost as if she was 'top duck' and looking down on her loyal subjects.
