April Snow...

The garden furniture came out of hibernation last week so I suppose that makes us responsible for this freaky weather.

This was the scene when we went to bed last night.  I couldn't believe it when I looked out the hall window and the snow was piling down and lying.

When David came into my makeshift bedroom this morning, just after telling me the snow was still lying on the ground he broke the good news that our central heating wasn't working downstairs (upstairs has a separate system)  Oh the joys of living in an old house.

The entire heating system is due to be replaced this summer and we were hoping it would limp along till then but alas, I think the recent drop in temperature has been the final straw.

Quick phone call to the local heating engineer and he popped round this afternoon and after much huffing and puffing, he has it working again.  Yay!    David's been at home today and it's been fun huddling in the living room in front of the fire but it is nice to be able to leave the room again without  freezing  :-)

Ele and Kenny coming up for dinner and staying over as David and Kenny are hoping to be on the golf course early tomorrow morning.  Here's hoping the snow plough's been there before them!
