Sharpen Up

A therapeutic day in the sun cleaning, sharpening, tightening, oiling and generally  sorting out all the tools after the winter season of woodland management.  We have to stop tree cutting now because of the Wildlife and Countryside Act.  It is a criminal offence to damage or destroy the nest of any wild bird while it is being used or built. Basically that's for the next 6 weeks until all the eggs get hatched and the little birds learn how to fly.  Maximum fine £5000 or 6m in prison.

The extras prove it's not just retired men who turn up. We made a few dormouse boxes too.
