Redwing Blackbird Takeoff
Today we returned to the Rail Trail (off Station Road in Amherst), though rather late in the morning, which must have accounted at least in part for the paucity of birds. There were a few of these blackbirds, though at some distance. I got on a number of them perched, and was able to capture some images when they flew--this was the best. Here is a redwing blackbird on the path three years ago--his red and gold epaulets are even more visible.
Edit (next day): I've added an extra shot of Eleven Turtles! They're happy for sun after our cold spring :)
