One white bird at least...

Not a difficult one, this bruiser of a Glaucous Gull gave itself up on a beach by the road on the west coast of Barra.
Last day on Barra this week and on the ferry on the way back bumped into a couple of birders I'd seen on Uist previously who had managed to catch up with the While-billed Diver.  Not sure that helped me. The technical jargon is that I "dipped" on it. At least I got a description of exactly where it was so I might just get lucky if I give it one more go.......
Back home in the evening to fine tune our archaeology chat at the local Arts' Centre tomorrow. What better place to do that fine tuning than the Westford Inn?
