Blue!

After many days of very changeable April weather, today was differenr. The sky was a deep blue and free of clouds, the sun was warm, and there was no wind.
I sat outside and listened to the thrushes alternately singing their beautiful melodic sing and then suddenly breaking into harsh chatter as a cat or crow came by. These birds only arrived a week ago but already they are nesting and guarding their territories.
Yesterday I managed to injure myself, moving cupboards and boxes as we close down our campus. I think I tore a muscle in my side, and it really knocked me out today.
So I was extra happy to see the glorious weather. I even slept in the sun for an hour or so.
