Times Of My Life

Battle Plans

12 noon today, a planning meeting for the Scottish Election on Thursday. A heap of us got together in the constituency SNP offices in Perth to run over who was going to be doing what on Polling Day.

I'm feeling a bit disappointed that there doesn't seem to be the amount of enthusiasm around there should be, but perhaps this election is just not engendering the same hope and excitement as The Referendum did.  And I think a lot of people simply don't appreciate how important it is to be properly represented in Parliament.

I've heard a few people say stuff like "what's happening across the pond is going to have more impact on us than what happens in Holyrood"; eh - no it's not!

Whatever, I love the buzz leading up an election, and I can't wait for my stints on Polling duty and best of all, going to the Count at night.  And thankfully, all the leafleting and canvassing is done now so it is just a matter of hoping the hard work will pay off.

Don't forget to vote!
